(TKP)

In the two-half-a-day Team Kanban Practitioner (TKP) course, you will learn the core concepts of the Kanban method on how to successfully organize your work while improving visibility, communication, and collaboration. This training creates a shared learning experience where you will come away from the TKP course with a high-level understanding of what it means to be on a Kanban team.

What'll you learn?

Students learn how to be effective within a Kanban team. In this class, you will learn the six core practices, how to run daily Kanban meetings, and how to proceed to the next level with Kanban. Students will understand Kanban fundamentals and principles such as:

  • Implementing Kanban to manage work in progress and regulate workflow
  • Using Lean thinking to remove waste from product development
  • Designing a Kanban board to visualize your value streams for efficient work management
  • Creating “pull” systems to minimize work in progress and eliminate waste
  • Applying Team Kanban
  • Certification - Upon successfully completing our TKP course, students will be credentialed as Team Kanban Practitioners (TKPs). The TKP certification is governed and maintained by Kanban University.

Pre-requisites

( KSD/ KMP I)


The Kanban Method is a management method to improve service delivery, catalyze improvements and evolve a business to be “fit for purpose.” In this class, we will cover simple concepts that are powerful in helping you organize, understand and manage your work. 

You will learn how to design a Kanban system and initiate evolutionary change with Kanban. You will learn the basic concepts of flow, pull, and collaborative improvement. You will also learn how to become faster and more responsive through better risk management and governance. You will gain practical insights on how to understand your systems of work so that you can implement or improve Kanban within your organization.

Kanban System Improvement Certification

( KSI/ KMP II)


This training systematically builds upon the foundations established in the Kanban System Design (KMP I) training. This course, known as Kanban Systems Improvement (KMP II), is the final course toward the Kanban Management Professional (KMP) credential.

 

Kanban Management Professional is an advanced-level course that will help participants build on their existing knowledge of the Kanban Method and will help them take their current Kanban implementation to the next level. 
This course is about evolving a system and expanding its reach using the Kanban method. During two days of interaction, in-depth learning, and intensive discussion, you will learn and expand your agility toolkit with new tools and techniques to successfully evolve the flow of your system using the Kanban Method.
